The Penn Blockchain Club will be hosting the University of Pennsylvania’s second annual Blockchain Conference on Saturday, April 6. The club intends to leverage Penn’s diverse array of students of differing academic disciplines to foster a discussion with experts on the current and future state of blockchain technology. The theme of the conference is “Design, Build, Invest,” which intends to guide dialogue by highlighting the opportunities of blockchain solutions across industries and the many different ways individuals can contribute to this space.
The Penn Blockchain Conference has already confirmed the attendance of some of the biggest names in the blockchain, including Albert Wenger (Managing Partner of Union Square Ventures), Ari Paul (CIO of Blocktower Capital) and Lane Rettig (Ethereum), among other influential leaders in the space.
There will be keynotes by IBM and Ripple, along with a series of smaller and more intimate panels, allowing attendees to dive deep into the areas of blockchain they find most interesting. The panel topics include: Legal, Security Token Offerings, Finance, Technology, Network and Ecosystem, Investing in Startups, and Investing in Crypto. Each panel will be moderated by journalists and professors who are heavily involved in the blockchain space.
